Objectives
Munich Airport, with its average capacity of 44.6 million passengers per year, is one of the top ten German airports and has already received many international awards. The satellite building in Terminal 2 in particular impresses with its modern, bright architecture and was named the second best terminal in the world in 2018. The perfect environment to present the innovative new smartphone SAMSUNG Galaxy S10 to the largest possible international target group in an unprecedented staging.
How were the objectives met?
On a 36 square meter area within the Plaza Tower, we developed a sensational pop-up store where consumers could experience the new flagship smartphone. This pop-up store was built with the idea of an exclusive, dynamic implementation of the new corporate identity of the South Korean market leader in a three-dimensional architectural appearance. We used highest quality materials and a streamlined design based on the technical innovations and the perfectly shaped design of the new SAMSUNG Galaxy S10. The number of visitors and the interest of consumers in the new Galaxy smartphone have more than met our expectations. With an average of 17.9 million passengers in Terminal 2 per year, we were able to measure a visitor flow of almost 50,000 passengers per day in the 2 months in which the PopUp Store opened its exhibition space there. In the period from April 1st to May 31st 2019, there were an average of 3,000 people interested in the pop-up area every day, including 500 direct interactions with the trained promoters. During the two-month duration of the store, there were 15,000 direct contacts with potential end customers from all over the world.
