 CANEX is the proud retail division of the Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Service (CFMWS). As Canada’s Military Store for 50 years, the services and merchandise is selected to meet the needs of the military community. As a membership organization, their target audience centers on the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members, their families and the overarching CAF Community, which are often serving remote areas that may have very limited nearby options for the services, food, and clothing that CANEX offers.

 CANEX Gives Back! Profits are returned to Bases and Wings through CFMWS in the form of dividends supporting local morale and wellness infrastructure, programs, activities and events.

 Friendly and helpful staff understand better than anyone, the lifestyles and needs of the CAF Community and uses that knowledge to create a welcoming environment for all customers.

 Primary customers include new recruits, serving and former members and their families, and having varying income.

 Unique products need to be merchandised alongside typical department store merchandise, some of these products include:
 Military merchandise and accouterments
 'Pride of Association' military kit shop merchandise
 Extreme weather gear
 Groceries
 General community services
 On site services include:
 Post office
 Dry cleaning
 SISIP Financial (another division of CFMWS)
 Barber Shop
 Service Ontario
 Select vendors with display and merchandise embedded including tire sales
